I was then convinced that the waitress had no idea what she was doing as she dropped more starters the rest of the table ordered on their laps and was convinced she lied to me. I decided to keep my mouth shut and laughed at the matter before they ordered another Bolla, Valoplicalla and was given another. I was astonished that they were served the wine by the same waitress who told me that they don't have it. Some time later when the rest of the guests joined our table they ordered the same Bolla, Valpolicella that I initially ordered. I pointed out that this isn't the bottle I ordered and the waitress said that the one I wanted finished, so I decided to try her recommendation. I ordered a bottle of wine, Bolla Valpolicella and was served a different bottle instead. They were very nice to accommodate us on such short notice but my negative experience will stop me from returning again. It's just strange that the waitress is at your table when you haven't even seen the menu, but when you want to leave you have to get the waitress yourself. Just please tell your staff to be a bit more attentive though. Eventually, I had to interrupt them to ask for the bill.ĭon't get me wrong, I still think this is a lovely tiny place and I would actually love to come again. Instead they roamed around a bit and ended up sitting at a table talking to each other. I did make eye contact a couple of times, but they still didn't come. Both the waiter and waitress never came to my table, even though it was pretty obvious I wanted to leave. By this time another waiter joined, they were with 2 people. When I had finished my water, I wanted to get the check. I had ordered a water, so I still had something to drink. I finished my sandwich and the waitress got rid of my plate. I was still looking at the menu to decide what to order, at this time the waitress impatiently sat at the table next to me looking at me (which I thought was a bit strange). I looked at her confused and she got back inside to get the milk (served in a lovely little milk churn). It took a little while for her to come back outside again, but when she did she just sat at a table scrolling on her phone. I asked her again if I could get some milk, she said okay and went back inside. The waitress roamed around a bit, then I ordered a tea and asked her whether I could get milk with it. I said that I would be reading the menu first, to see what this cafe had to offer. Before I sat down, the waitress was already at my table (quick, which is not necessarily bad). Unfortunately, the service could have been better. It was nicely decorated and they had good music. A nice tiny café located in a narrow street of Valletta.
